Welcome to Sutton Valence School.
Sutton Valence School is an Independent School some 30
miles south-east of London. The school is on a ridge overlooking an
area called the Weald of Kent. We are a community of some 370 boys and
girls aged between 11 and 18; some are day pupils and some board at the
school. We have a junior school called Underhill,
which takes pupils from under 4 through to 11. Sutton Valence School has
a long history, having been founded in 1576 by
William Lambe using money made from the cloth trade
and still maintains links with the Clothworkers Guild. Now it is part of
the United Westminster Schools Foundation. These pages started as a sixth-form
computing project and have been built upon. they now include work by staff
and pupils as well as news about what is going
on at SVS, in sport, music, drama and other activites. Please feel free to get in contact with us if you find them
interesting or useful! Comments from Old Suttonians
who find these pages would be especially welcome.
