Lozells gets it's name from the old "Lowes Hill" near the centre of
Birmingham and that's where our school is.
We're a two form entry school with 415 pupils on roll. We have our own
Nursery and we take children from Reception right up to year six and in our
modern building we are creating our own special place in local history.
We're situated on "Lowes Hill" and we enjoy a panoramic veiw of the city
centre. (I'm sure the view alone from the classroom windows inspires the
learning process) As a school in the Aston Nechells ward we also benefit
from links with both neighbouring schools and our adjacent secondary,
Holte. Now with our own Internet connection and web site we look forward to
even more exciting links within the
global community
.

Locally you may Lozells for the quality of the display of children's work,
or it's strong links with the local community and the hard work of the
staff and volunteers who work at the school. But did you also know about
our international fame?
Not only do we host many student teachers from local training colleges but
we also have many global links (now made easier through the internet) and
we attract students from Turkey, Japan and the United States!
All of our visitors are keen to comment on the friendliness of the children
and the welcome they receive.

A good recent Ofsted report was the result of much hard work by just about
everyone connected with the school, all under the supervision of our
recently appointed Headteacher, Judy Worsley. We now look forward to
building on our successes and continuing to provide high quality education
for the children in our care.

The pupils are all encouraged to reach their potential in the full range of
curriculum activities.Once again though, the hard work of staff and
volunteers enables our children to take part in extra curricular
activities. We have a part share in a hostel near Atherstone and take
regular day and residential trips to this part of the countryside.
Don't you wish that you were a pupil at Lozells Junior and Infant School?
