We are sorry to say that Mr Hayes is no longer with us but we have left his introduction to show you what his intentions were!

We will sadly miss him!

We expect students to succeed at Fryerns Community School. All the staff will help and guide students so that they can achieve their potential. There is good discipline and an orderly approach. We know that all students have talents and we offer a broad and balanced curriculum leading to significant achievements in academic, vocational, technological and recreational courses.

The governors have adopted the following AIMS for the school:

To provide a caring, stable, stimulating and challenging environment in which students can learn, develop and mature.
To help to prepare students for a happy and active life in adult society both in terms of their chosen career and within a positive family framework.
To give students the necessary skills to help them achieve their potential
To develop in students the confidence to lead rewarding and fulfilling lives.
To be responsive to the needs of young people who are growing up but help them respect the needs of others so that they can become responsible contributing adults.

The aims are based on things we VALUE especially

the personal care of each individual and educating the “whole person”
a responsive relationship with the community using the school’s resources to the full
working together for the good of all people in our community.

As a relatively small school with a stable, caring staff we are well paced to turn these statements of aims and values into action.
