Russian Language Intensive Course.
An Opportunity for Beginners and Intermediate Students
From 2008 we are offering two intensive Russian
Language courses at Elementary and Intermediate levels. The month-long
courses will be held at Orion, within a small, intimate community
giving plenty of opportunity to practice conversation and interact
with the members and their children. The Intermediate course is
timed to help Russian Language University Students to prepare
for their exams and it falls over the Easter break. Maximum five
people in each group.
Beginners – Elementary Russian Course: 24 June–
22 July 2009
Intermediate – Advanced Russian Course: 27 March–
24 April 2009
How is this different from all the other Russian Language Courses
on offer?
You will receive 20 hours Tuition per week from an enthusiastic
young teacher who has been a member of the Kitezh-Orion communities
for two years. Your teacher, Julya Lubimtseva is a philologist,
specialised in Russian Literature, currently preparing for her
PhD. She is also committed to working with children at Kitezh.
She will give you individual attention and expert tuition in Russian
Grammar, Language and Literature.
After 4 hours of class in the mornings, you can join in the daily
activities in Orion, playing with the children, helping out in
the kitchen and the ongoing building projects. In summer many
Russian students come to volunteer at Orion, so there is a fun
and active group of young people there. Evenings are bound to
include singing around a bonfire, Russian style.
If you wish to stay on for up to 2 months longer as a volunteer,
either at Orion or at Kitezh, you can easily do so.
Cost:
4 weeks course: £950 (including
80 hours tuition, accommodation with full board, transfer from
Moscow and back, and Visa Support)
Additional month(s) as a volunteer £100 per month plus £75
for an extended visa.
This does not include the Russian Consular Visa Fee nor does it
include Travel Insurance and Airfare to Moscow.
